Private label adult diapers: how to launch your own brand
Putting your own name on the box is more achievable than most buyers think. Here is the path from idea to first shipment.
Putting your own name on the box is more achievable than most buyers think. You do not need your own factory. You need a clear range, good artwork and a manufacturing partner who will produce to your specification. Here is the path from idea to first shipment.
Decide what private label means for you
Private label means the product is made to a standard specification and sold under your brand. OEM goes a step further, where details of the product are built to your requirement. Both put your brand on the box. Start with private label to launch quickly, and move to OEM once you know what your market wants.
Choose a focused starter range
Do not launch twenty SKUs. Start with the few that sell the most.
- Adult diaper pants in two or three sizes
- Tape diapers for assisted and bed care
- Underpads for bed protection
A tight range is easier to stock, easier to price and easier to get right. You can widen it once the first orders move.
Get the artwork and compliance ready
Prepare your brand name, logo and pack design as print ready artwork. Your manufacturer can guide the layout, the sizes and the mandatory information for your market, including the HSN code and any labelling your country requires for hygiene products. Getting this right before production saves a costly reprint.
Sample, then order
Approve physical samples of both the product and the printed pack before the full run. Check that the print is sharp, the colours are right and the product performs. Only then confirm the bulk order. Our minimum is 20,000 pieces per SKU, with samples couriered within seven days of confirming the specification.
Plan for reordering from day one
The first order is the start, not the finish. Agree lead times and a reorder rhythm with your manufacturer so you never stock out, and keep your specification and artwork on file so every future run matches the first. Consistency is what turns a launch into a brand.
